If the son was not a violent man, why did he throw a brick through the glass window and return to repeat the offense? He obviously wasn't working in a soup kitchen or helping his community. He was very drunk and incited the violence committed against him. WHile the reaction was absolutely way too much and the defenders deserve to be punished, the victim is no angel. Had he been sober and doing something more positive with his life, he would still be here.
