Group offers to keep Noyes Children's Library open
Facing a two-year closure because of budget cuts, the Noyes Library for Young Children in Kensington might remain open, reports The Gazette. The Noyes Children's Library Foundation, which helped keep the library open from 1991 to 1999 when it also faced closure, has been in discussions with Montgomery County Public Libraries and County Executive Isiah Leggett about an offer of $70,000 per year to keep the library open while the county makes plans to renovate the facility.
