Metrobus was out of control

A truck driver was hospitalized Wednesday after being struck by a Metrobus that careened across several lanes of traffic. The driver was charged with failure to control speed to avoid collision -- a $130 fine and three points on the driver's license -- for the incident on Colesville Road in Silver Spring, Md. The bus ended up on someone's lawn, stopping after slamming into a wall that lines a driveway. The bus driver was not injured, and the bus was not in service so there were no passengers aboard.
