Kensington in the news
It seems that Kensington keeps popping up in the news recently. First, the saga of Noyes Library, the only library in Montgomery County dedicated to young children. The library was facing closure due to budget cuts, but as the Gazette reports, the library might be getting a reprieve thanks to the private Noyes Children’s Library Foundation. Have any of you visited the library? Better than the childrens section at the Wheaton library? The Gazette is also reporting on the Kensington mayoral race, in which the current mayor and his partner are both running. . Seats on the town council are also up for grabs. Elections are this Monday at the town hall.
Any Kensington residents want to weigh in on the election? Finally, today’s Washington Post showcases the town of Kensington in its feature. SOURCE: What's Up Wheaton
