AARP Driver Safety Class Being Offered at Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center. The Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center will host an AARP senior driver safety class on Saturday, July 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The center is located at 3300 Briggs Chaney Road, Silver Spring. The four-hour driver training class is aimed at seniors who need a refresher course. The class will help seniors with certain driving maneuvers and will teach them how to utilize the new technology installed in late model vehicles. Participants receive a completion certificate at the conclusion of the class that will allow them to receive a 10 percent reduction on their auto insurance. The class is open to all ages, but only seniors age 50 and over are eligible for the insurance discount. Class registration fee is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.
